I would like to learn more about how watches, how complications work, etc... What kind of books can I look for and where can i found them? Also what Websites would you suggest?
You might start with the website run by the Swiss watch federation at www.fhs.ch. On it is a glossary and a full list of terms and FAQs to assist you. Then, try the very thorough introduction to watches and complications at www.timezone.com in its "resources and tools" section. Also check out www.thepurists.com under "links" and "articles" for a host of informative sources, including numerous books. Fine Life Media (this site) also offers numerous watch books, which you can order online. Finally, check out the impressive listings at www.horology.com for a wide variety of literature, including many current and older books about time, timekeeping, watches and clocks.
